School Notes:

  • East-West University, a private academic institution that for nearly 25 years has been helping hundreds of Chicago Public School students realize their dream of a college education and a better life. A dream that for many would have been unobtainable due to the high costs of higher education.
  • Since it was founded in 1980, East-West has made affordability, quality instruction, small class size and convenient location the hallmarks of its reputation. A comprehensive financial aid package is available, including institutional scholarships to most students. The annual tuition and fees are among the lowest of any private university in the Midwest.
  • The University is strategically located in the South Loop of downtown Chicago. The University facilities consist of two buildings, known as the East and West Buildings. The East Building faces Michigan Avenue and extends to the West Building on Wabash Avenue. Our facilities accommodate 4 computer labs, an auditorium, cafeteria, student lounge, bookstore, library, electronics lab and several administrative offices.
  • East-West offers bachelor's degrees in such fields as business administration, computer and information science, electronics technology and the liberal arts. In addition, one- and two-year certificates are offered in various areas.
